Wichita District to Build 2 New Schools in Bel Aire

Today, the Wichita school district announced that it would build two new northeast Wichita schools.  A new high school is expected to be built near the northeast corner of 53rd North and Rock Road.  A new K-8 school is expected to be built near 53rd North and Woodlawn.  The northeast high school is set to open in the fall of 2012 and the K-8 should be complete by the fall of 2011 according to the district.  The new schools are expected to create additional demand for homes in the Bel Aire area.
